Ordinarily I shy away from posting non-automotive things here, but I’m wondering: do you have these in your grocery store? These are old school - not the nonsense sold today with ‘taco’ in the title. These came out in the 70s, and I love them. If you can find them, buy them. And I might ask you to be my connection - these are next to impossible to find in NYC. So delicious!

Best tasting chips I’ve ever had. A staple at our high school, and how are they not sold everywhere all the time?
This is my McRib. Except I hate the McRib.

They re-released Taco Doritos for a few months here in Canada a couple of years ago. I love them more than life itself.
But now they are gone again, and I am a broken man.

Had small bags here in some stores - I’d buy them a dozen at a time when I found them. You should have seen the look on the face of the bodega owner. Then I found them on Amazon, but they’re crazy expensive (and shipping!). I need a source, man.

Your best bet it probably to just order them offline. I think Wal Mart has them.

They are delicious.
BTW, did you know that a single Dorito chip can burn for over 3 minutes, and leave a little pool of oil behind after it burns out?

Silly liberal me refuses to shop at Wal-Mart. As if there was one in Manhattan. And now we have a few Chick-Fil-As and I am soooo tempted. But ... gaaaahhhh!

Seven or more, then you pay shipping, lots of it. I need a hookup! Down in MD recently, but no dice - Giant and Safeway do not have them.

I indulge in the occasional rum & Coke despite the fact that I know what Coke does to me. I can take a few Doritos.

I just can’t ... anyone who says certain people have fewer rights or you shouldn’t have birth control does not get my money. But then I’m not going to be traveling to Alabama or Mississippi anytime soon, am I?

Traveling in Arkansas a while back, and the people were lovely. But then ... Huckabee. And Kansas - great state, but the politicians refuse to fund the schools despite a court order. Wait, shouldn’t we be talking about cars? Where am I?
OK - I’m back now.

Old Dutch still makes a similar thing.
For the longest time I thought they were the same as the zesty cheese Doritos, they aren’t.

I do like their pico flavour, but I had forgotten about the taco. Perhaps I’ll take a walk over to the corner store and pick up a bag...

I play that game in my head all the time. Back in 2004 I was in line for a very well-paying job that would have required a reverse commute out to White Plains. My mind went crazy ... Boxster? Mini? Phaeton? BMW 3 series? Used Supra? Mercedes turbodiesel? (my ride of choice). Try to find my ‘91 CRX Si and buy it back? ‘87 300TD wagon? (the car I really wanted). Fast Ford? Fast Audi S5? .... I could have bought anything well into the 50s and not felt it - the job was that good. But they wound up not ‘creating’ the job, and it never happened. Still, I have fun doing the mental exercises.

What I want to know is who is buying the “roulette” Doritos? It’s certainly not me or literally any human being with functional taste buds.

Reverse commutes are ebola.
Especially anywhere where there’s traffic in both directions for whatever reason.

I bought them by accident one day, could not finish the bag, was just god awful. I would rather those salty as shit poutine ones.

Did a lot of rush hour Town Car rides to White Plains, and it’s 1/2 an hour or a bit more. Especially if you have a driver who knows the best route.

Pretty sure I had these except they were in the form of the rolled up knock-off Taki shape. They were just ok in my opinion, I prefer the Buffalo & Ranch doritos they (used to) make. (note: I’m not talking about the jacked kind, these were normal ones back when the logo was that squiggly line design)

These are the shit!! Back in high school my best friends dad worked for Frito Lay and you would litterly get boxes of chips when you went over to his house.
I found out these chips go quite well with Mt. Dew & MW2

I used them to make white trash nachos ... chips, hot sauce and white cheddar on top - zap it in the microwave. Might have to do that this weekend.

Well...only one way to find out. Get on a steady life-long diet of Rum & Coke (and add a lime to make it a Cuba Libre because they rock.)
Then, donate your body to science when you die :)

I saw it for $7.something / bag but buy 3 bags, prime shipping.
Frito Lay, Doritos, Tortilla Chips, 10.5oz Bag (Pack of 3) (Choose Flavors Below) (Taco) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G3TE724/… if you don't have prime, there were others with free shipping, of course it may take longer.
